Obituary Lookups
The library has Wilmington, Ohio newspapers on microfilm; however, contents are not indexed.  Microfilm are available for public use during regular hours, however, there may not always be staff on hand able to assist with setting up the microfilm reader or searching through the rolls of film.  If possible, please call or email the library ahead of time for an appointment.  Also, staff can do some limited searching of the microfilm for you. You can call or email search details and we will be happy to look for information for you. We can email findings, or provide printed information to be mailed or picked up for 10 cents per page.

County Records
The library does not have copies of Clinton County records. Records of use to genealogists such as birth, death, and marriage, are retained by various Clinton County government departments depending on the record’s nature and date.

Ancestry Library Edition (in-library use only) -- Trace your genealogy using historical records. U. S. You must be in the library to access this database.

Fold3 -- A premier collection of historical U.S. military records that brings to life the details of America�s military veterans with stories, photos, and personal documents.

Heritage Quest -- Search census records, books, serials, and other historical records to trace your genealogy.

Sanborne Fire Insurance Maps -- Find large scale street plans produced by the Sanborn Fire Insurance company from 1867 to 1970. Locate and identify buildings and neighborhoods. Study the growth of towns and cities, and the impact of new development
